1 - PAYMENT & CANCELLATION TERMS
When a booking is made, the 'lead name' on the booking confirms that he or she is 17 or over and has the authority and accepts on behalf of the party the terms of these booking conditions on our web site or in the brochure and as confirmed in the pre-booking information. This confirmation will include any special requests we have agreed to. Your booking is not confirmed until your bank mandate or payment details have been received. Please check the confirmation carefully to ensure all the information is correct. You can contact us for further information or assistance if you have any questions. Please do not make any travel arrangements until your booking has been confirmed and that you do already have travel Insurance in place.
• You can cancel your booking without charge by giving 49 days’ notice in writing
• If you cancel 48 to 28 days prior, you will be charged 50% OR
• (You can transfer your booking on another holiday without penalty)
• If you cancel 27 to 14 days prior, you will be charged 75%
• If you cancel after this date, you will be charged 100%
• We will always do our best to resell your booking
• You can name change without charge up to seven days before
2 - CHANGING YOUR BOOKING
If, after our confirmation has been issued, you wish to change to another one of our holidays or change your departure date, we will do our best to make the changes. However, notification must be received in writing at our offices from the person who signed the booking form, at least 49 days before departure. Any later than this we may
ask for a payment of £20pp to cover our administrative costs and reserve the right to do this. If you choose to cancel your holiday once it has started or after you have arrived and checked in, for whatever reason, GE Ltd will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred and no refunds will be given for any part of the holiday not taken.
3 - TRANSFERRING YOUR BOOKING - NAME CHANGE
You can transfer your booking to somebody else, but the person must satisfy all the conditions of the holiday and you must inform us in writing, no less than 7 days before departure. After this date changes could cost £25pp. Your cancellation will take effect from the date on which we receive your written confirmation of your cancellation.
4 - CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY BY GE
We rarely need to make any changes to your holiday but, because our holidays are planned many months in advance, we sometimes do need to make minor changes. We reserve the right to do this at any time. We will let you know about any important changes as soon as possible, including the minimum number of players required for the holiday. If after booking, and before departure, we make a major change to your holiday, you will have the option of withdrawing from the holiday without penalty or transferring to another available holiday.
5 - OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
We accept responsibility for ensuring the holiday which you book with us is supplied as described in our publicity material and the services offered reach a reasonable standard. All our bridge holidays have experienced director and bridge playing holiday hosts. Single travellers will be assured of a playing partner, and we try to ensure the best partners for pairs and teams. Our commitment to you is to provide a qualified director, bridge facilities which may include duplicated boards, computer scoring, bidding boxes and at the least bridge, seminar or workshop each morning and a main evening session. EBU master points are awarded for all applicable morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. We have a varied evening programme of mainly duplicate pairs; however, it is always your choice to play regardless of the programme. This is first and foremost a friendly holiday bridge and there is no pressure on anyone. Our morning sessions start at 10.15am, afternoon sessions (where offered) from 3.00pm and evening bridge session usually starts no later than 7.30pm. We do not guarantee Bridge on the first arrival evening, it will depend on suitable numbers arriving in time to play.
6- HEALTH AND SAFETY
NO SMOKING is allowed in the bridge/games room, and this includes E-Cigarettes, neither do we allow pets or any other animals, but we do of course accommodate registered assistance dogs. Anyone clearly displaying cold, or flu symptoms will not be allowed in the bridge room. Anyone that is aware that they may have any contagious condition must not enter the bridge room and will be liable if they do.
7 - BRIDGE ROOM BEHAVIOUR
We want all our customers to have a happy, relaxed, and carefree holiday. You are responsible for your behaviour and hygiene and the effect it may have on others. If you or any other member of your party is abusive, disruptive or behaves in a way that could cause damage or injury to others or affect their enjoyment of their holiday or which could damage property, we have the right to ban you from the games room and for the hotel management to advise us on their protocols and we will have no further liability or obligation to you. We also request that mobile phones are not used on the bridge/games room apart for scoring and for exceptional circumstances.
8 - TRAVEL INSURANCE
Insurance: If you failed to arrange adequate travel insurance, you understand that you make your travel arrangements at your own risk. EHIC card, European Health Insurance Card is still available to UK residents traveling temporarily to an EU country and will provide you with free or cheaper medical treatment provided by the state healthcare scheme in the EU country you are visiting. Make sure this card is in date and note this is not a replacement for travel insurance and will not cover repatriation costs or many treatments covered by a comprehensive insurance policy. If you are travelling to Turkey; From the end of March 2020 British nationals travelling for tourism or business purposes will no longer need a VISA to enter Turkey for visits of up to 90 days within an 80-day period. Your insurance should cover you if you need to cancel your booking as well as medical and repatriation costs, personal injury, loss of baggage and cancellation charges due to flight delays and FCO flight ban. If you do not have adequate insurance and require our assistance during your holiday, we reserve the right to reclaim from you any medical repatriation or other expenses which we may incur on your behalf which would otherwise have been met by insurers.
9 - GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS
We retain your full contact details and other information in secure files and electronic storage facilities. We may use this information to contact you by post, telephone, or email. If you do not wish to receive marketing information about our products and services, then please contact us. All electronic mail will have an easy opt out. We will only pass your information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements, and we take full responsibility for ensuring that proper measures are in place to protect this information.
